How I celebrates Hari Raya….
Tomorrow is a Raya celebration day. Eventhough I’m not Muslim, I feel so happy for I’m going to visits my beloved uncle at Johore which is Muslim in their religion. On 17th September 2009, I went to join the Raya celebrations with my uncle and his family who lives in Johore with my lovely older sister who is studying at Kuala Lumpur. Although we arrived a little bit late there, however, we are still enjoy helping them to ready the various delicious food and to clean up their house. Even, we feel a little bit tired, but we are still happy for we enjoy the night before Raya situation.
Early in the mornig for the first Raya, we just wait for them at home as they went to their grandmother and grandfather’s grave to pray. After they came back home, we are getting ready to treat people who come to celebrates raya together with my uncle and his family. At the afternoon, we went to Melaka to visit our relatives from Sabah who is also celebrating Raya. I felt very happy for seeing them for it has been very long time that we never meet. After that, my uncle brought us to visits many historial places such as A Famosa, Melaka Museum, and the old buildings of Portuguese and Belanda. Besides that, I am also have a chance to bought a present to my beloved mother that is a Melaka T- Shirt which is same pattern as mine. On that opportunities, I can saw a unique Baba and Nyonya houses ad gain a new knowledge told by my uncle in order to recognize which buildings own by Belanda, and which buildings own by Portuguese. He said that Belanda’s buildings are red in color.
During that night, me and my cousins play a ‘bunga api’ and enjoy barbeque outside the house. I felt very happy for I can celebrates Hari Raya with my uncle and his family. For sure, this is one of my best memories that I can never ever forget.
